Driving some of the rural area roads of Douglas County, Kansas, along the southwest edge of Clinton
Federal Reservoir, I began noticing large numbers of butterflies in and along the graveled roadside.

Finally I pulled over near a boat ramp to one of the rivers that feeds the reservoir.  Much to my
surprise I had butterflies perching on my camera while shooting pictures.  One decided to stay on
my hand (see above #4) and I had to shake it loose before departing, including two on the camera.

The friendliest bunch of butterflies without flowers that I've ever run into - maybe
they were "stoned" on something.
