Beneath the Quadcopter

The X16 quadcopter (drone) shortly after take-off. This brushless motor driven craft has a GPS module, which facilitates a stationary position as high as 400 feet. Attached below is the RunCam HD camera that is used for most of the aerial images on this site. The camera is also used with the Syma X8C. The flight duration of the X16 is 15 to 20 minutes per LIPO battery. It also has a return-to-home feature should it get out of range, which will also kick-in should contact with the controller be lost or a low battery condition exist. When it returns to the location from where it was launched it automatically lands and that is usually within ten feet of the original launch position.
